The fascination of of the project « XL-target » is, according to KJ Dave Doran, the creativity allowed to flow during his live performances.


With XL-Target, he moves away from classic drumming by using samples to create a rhythm group which gives him more freedom in his playing.
Drummer KJ Dave Doran fuses experimental jungle drum tracks with ambient jazz.
The line between different genres has been dissolved with the result of compelling tracks and fast, driving beats. The compositions are based around the drum tracks and samples.
In the process arose, not an emotionless synthetic electro sound, but rather a kind of an "urbane groovy future music" that shows parallels to Triphop and Breakbeat.
Acting in concert, is brother, guitarist Christy Doran. They generated a ReMix of driving break beat and fat guitar sounds.
The music offers the full monty of energy and rhythm – and surely the coolest live sound currently found in the MoveToGroove scene.
